Dunn Bros
Dunn Bros is a franchise coffeehouse chain founded in St. Paul, Minnesota in 1987. The company's philosophy is built on the traditional Italian model of the local coffee house as a community gathering place. Dunn Bros emphasizes freshness, with on-site roasting of beans in most locations.
History[edit | edit source]
Dunn Bros was founded by brothers Ed and Dan Dunn, who opened their first location in the Lowertown neighborhood of St. Paul. The company began franchising in 1994, and as of 2021, there are over 60 locations across the United States, primarily in the Midwest.
Business Model[edit | edit source]
Unlike many other coffeehouse chains, Dunn Bros sources its own green coffee beans and roasts them on site at most locations. This allows the company to ensure the freshness and quality of its coffee. In addition to coffee, Dunn Bros also offers a menu of food items, including pastries, sandwiches, and salads.
Community Involvement[edit | edit source]
Dunn Bros has a strong commitment to community involvement. Each franchise is encouraged to support local charities and events, and the company as a whole has partnerships with several national charitable organizations.
