  • East Baton Rouge Parish is the most populous parish in the U.S. state of Louisiana. As of the 2020 census, the population was 440,059. The parish seat is Baton Rouge, Louisiana's state capital. East Baton Rouge Parish is part of the Baton Rouge, LA Metropolitan Statistical Area.

  • East Baton Rouge Parish is located in the southeastern part of Louisiana. It is bordered by the parishes of Ascension, Livingston, St. Helena, West Baton Rouge, and Iberville. The parish covers a total area of 470 square miles, of which 455 square miles is land and 15 square miles is water.

  • As of the 2020 census, there were 440,059 people residing in the parish. The racial makeup of the parish was 49.5% White, 45.9% Black or African American, 0.3% Native American, 3.0% Asian, 0.12% Pacific Islander, 0.91% from other races, and 1.2% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 3.8% of the population.
