Edie McClurg made her film debut in the 1976 movie Carrie, directed by Brian De Palma. She gained recognition for her role as Grace, the secretary, in the 1986 film Ferris Bueller's Day Off, directed by John Hughes. McClurg has appeared in other notable films such as Planes, Trains and Automobiles, Back to School, and Elvira: Mistress of the Dark.
