Elkmont, Alabama
Elkmont, Alabama is a town located in Limestone County, Alabama, in the northern part of the United States. As of the 2010 United States Census, the population of Elkmont was 434. The town is part of the Huntsville-Decatur-Albertville, AL Combined Statistical Area.

Elkmont's history dates back to the 19th century. The town was originally known as Elk River Mills, named after the Elk River which runs nearby. The town was incorporated in 1873.
Geography[edit | edit source]
Elkmont is located in the northern part of Limestone County, near the Tennessee border. The town is surrounded by rolling hills and farmland. The Elk River runs to the east of the town.
Economy[edit | edit source]
Elkmont's economy is primarily based on agriculture, with many residents involved in farming and related industries. The town is also home to several small businesses and industries.
Education[edit | edit source]
Elkmont is served by the Limestone County Schools district. The town has one high school, Elkmont High School, and one elementary school, Elkmont Elementary School.

Elkmont is known for its annual Elkmont Lions Club Fair, which features a variety of food, games, and entertainment. The town also hosts the annual Elkmont Soggy Bottom Run, a popular local running event.
