- Ellsworth is a village in and the county seat of Pierce County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 3,284 at the 2010 census. The village is located within the Town of Ellsworth. The residential community of East Ellsworth is part of the village, but still has its own separate post office.

- Ellsworth was named after Elmer E. Ellsworth, the first Union officer casualty of the Civil War. The village was incorporated in 1887 and has been the county seat of Pierce County since 1902.
Geography[edit | edit source]
- Ellsworth is located at 44°43′36″N 92°29′24″W (44.726692, -92.489947). According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 3.90 square miles (10.10 km2), all of it land.
