Elmhurst
Elmhurst is a suburb located in the United States, specifically in the state of Illinois. It is part of DuPage County, and is a western suburb of Chicago. Elmhurst is known for its thriving downtown area, excellent public school system, and numerous cultural amenities.

Elmhurst was originally inhabited by the Potawatomi Native American people. The area was later settled by European immigrants in the 19th century. The city was incorporated in 1882, and has since grown into a bustling suburb with a population of over 45,000 residents.
Geography[edit | edit source]
Elmhurst is located approximately 18 miles west of downtown Chicago. The city covers an area of 10.3 square miles, and is characterized by its tree-lined streets and well-maintained homes.
