Emmetsburg is a city located in Palo Alto County, Iowa, United States. It is the county seat and is named after the Irish patriot Robert Emmet. The city is known for its St. Patrick's Day celebration and as the home of a campus of Iowa Lakes Community College.

Emmetsburg is located in the northwestern part of Iowa, approximately 25 miles south of the Minnesota border. The city is situated near the Des Moines River and Five Island Lake, providing residents with ample opportunities for outdoor activities.
