The Entebbe Raid

This was a counter-terrorist hostage-rescue mission carried out by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) at Entebbe Airport in 1976. The operation was launched to rescue hostages taken by Palestinian and German terrorists who had hijacked an Air France plane. The successful mission is remembered as a significant event in military history.
