Diagnosis[edit | edit source]
Diagnosis of epicanthus is typically made through a physical examination. The doctor may also ask about any family history of genetic disorders. In some cases, genetic testing may be recommended.
Treatment[edit | edit source]
Treatment for epicanthus is not typically necessary unless it is causing vision problems. In some cases, surgery may be recommended to reduce the appearance of the fold.
