Eric paslay

Eric Paslay (born January 29, 1983) is an American country music singer and songwriter. He has released one album for EMI Nashville, which contains the number one single "Friday Night". Paslay has also written songs for several other artists.

Early life[edit | edit source]

Eric Thomas Paslay was born in Abilene, Texas. He grew up in Temple, Texas, where he began playing guitar and writing songs at an early age. Paslay attended Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, where he studied music business.

Songwriting[edit | edit source]

Before signing with EMI Nashville, Paslay wrote songs for other artists. Some of his notable songwriting credits include "Even If It Breaks Your Heart" by Eli Young Band, "Barefoot Blue Jean Night" by Jake Owen, and "Rewind" by Rascal Flatts.

Solo career[edit | edit source]

Paslay signed with EMI Nashville in 2011 and released his debut single, "Never Really Wanted," in 2011. His second single, "If the Fish Don't Bite," was released in 2012. Paslay's third single, "Friday Night," became his first number one hit on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart in 2013.

In 2014, Paslay released his self-titled debut album, which included the singles "Song About a Girl" and "She Don't Love You." The album received positive reviews and established Paslay as a rising star in the country music scene.

Eric Paslay married Natalie Harker in 2015. The couple has one daughter, born in 2018. Paslay is known for his philanthropic efforts, including his work with the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
