Etchū-Nakagawa Station (越中中川駅, Etchū-Nakagawa-eki) is a railway station located in Toyama Prefecture, Japan. It is operated by the West Japan Railway Company (JR West).

Overview[edit | edit source]

Etchū-Nakagawa Station is situated on the Himi Line, which connects Takaoka Station to Himi Station. The station is an important local hub, providing access to the surrounding residential and commercial areas.

The station opened on April 5, 1912, as part of the then Japanese Government Railways (JGR), which later became the Japanese National Railways (JNR). Following the privatization of JNR on April 1, 1987, the station came under the control of JR West.

Etchū-Nakagawa Station has a single side platform serving one track. The station building is a simple structure, providing basic amenities for passengers. There is no staff present at the station, making it an unstaffed station.

The station is served by local trains on the Himi Line. The frequency of trains varies, with more services during peak hours to accommodate commuters.
