The European Forest Genetic Resources Programme (EUFORGEN) is a collaborative initiative that aims to promote the conservation and sustainable use of forest genetic resources in Europe. It was established in 1994 as a result of the Strasbourg Resolution S2, which was adopted at the first Ministerial Conference on the Protection of Forests in Europe.
