Fallon County, Montana

Fallon County is a county located in the U.S. state of Montana. As of the 2010 United States Census, the population was 2,890. Its county seat is Baker. The county was created in 1913 from a portion of Custer County and is named for Benjamin O'Fallon, an Indian agent.

Fallon County is located in the eastern part of Montana, with its eastern border being about 40 miles west of the Montana-North Dakota state line. The county has a total area of 1,623 square miles, of which 1,621 square miles is land and 2.0 square miles is water.

As of the 2010 United States Census, there were 2,890 people, 1,185 households, and 813 families residing in the county. The population density was 1.8 inhabitants per square mile. There were 1,354 housing units at an average density of 0.8 per square mile.
