Fortunato of Brescia

Fortunato of Brescia (also known as Fortunatus of Brescia) was an Italian bishop and saint from the 6th century. He is venerated in the Roman Catholic Church and the Eastern Orthodox Church. His feast day is October 14.

Fortunato was born in Brescia, a city in the Lombardy region of Italy. He was ordained a priest and later became the bishop of Brescia. He is known for his piety and his dedication to the poor and the sick. He is also remembered for his efforts to spread Christianity in his diocese.

Fortunato is venerated as a saint in the Roman Catholic Church and the Eastern Orthodox Church. His relics are preserved in the Cathedral of Brescia. Every year on October 14, his feast day, a special mass is celebrated in his honor.
