G Suite
G Suite (formerly known as Google Apps for Work) is a collection of cloud computing, productivity software, and collaboration software tools and products developed by Google. It was first launched in 2006 as "Google Apps for Your Domain". G Suite comprises Gmail, Hangouts, Calendar, and Google+ for communication; Drive for storage; Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms, and Sites for collaboration; and, depending on the plan, an Admin panel and Vault for managing users and the services.

G Suite was launched on August 28, 2006, as "Google Apps for Your Domain". The service was rebranded as "G Suite" on September 29, 2016. In October 2020, Google rebranded G Suite as Google Workspace.
Components[edit | edit source]
G Suite includes the following key components:
- Gmail: A web-based email service.
- Google Drive: A file storage and synchronization service.
- Google Docs: A word processing application.
- Google Sheets: A spreadsheet application.
- Google Slides: A presentation program.
- Google Forms: A survey administration software.
- Google Sites: A structured wiki- and web page-creation tool.

- Google+: A social network platform (discontinued in April 2019).

Rebranding to Google Workspace[edit | edit source]
In October 2020, Google announced that G Suite would be rebranded as Google Workspace. This rebranding included new logos, additional features, and a more integrated user experience.
