Gary Vaynerchuk
Gary Vaynerchuk is an entrepreneur, author, and internet personality who is best known for his work in digital marketing and social media. He is the CEO and co-founder of VaynerMedia, a full-service digital agency that works with brands to develop social media and content marketing strategies. Vaynerchuk has also authored several books, including "The Thank You Economy," "Crush It!: Why Now Is the Time to Cash in on Your Passion," and "Jab, Jab, Jab, Right Hook."
Early Life and Education[edit | edit source]
- Gary Vaynerchuk was born on November 14, 1975, in Babruysk, Belarus, which was then part of the Soviet Union. In 1978, when he was three years old, his family emigrated to the United States, settling in Queens, New York. Vaynerchuk's father worked as a stockroom manager in a liquor store, and Vaynerchuk grew up working in the family's wine shop.
- Vaynerchuk attended Mount Ida College in Newton, Massachusetts, where he studied computer science. However, he dropped out of college to work in his family's wine business, which he eventually took over in the late 1990s.

- In the late 1990s, Vaynerchuk began to experiment with digital marketing, launching WineLibrary.com, an e-commerce site that sold wine online. He also began producing video blogs about wine, which he shared on YouTube and other social media platforms.
- As Vaynerchuk's online presence grew, he became a sought-after speaker and consultant on social media and digital marketing. In 2009, he founded VaynerMedia with his brother AJ, which has since grown into a full-service digital agency with offices around the world.
- Vaynerchuk has also authored several books on digital marketing and entrepreneurship, including "The Thank You Economy," "Crush It!: Why Now Is the Time to Cash in on Your Passion," and "Jab, Jab, Jab, Right Hook." He has also appeared as a judge on the television show "Shark Tank."

Vaynerchuk is married to Lizzie Vaynerchuk, and the couple has two children together. He is also an avid sports fan, with a particular interest in basketball and football.
