Gender transition

Gender transition - The process by which some individuals attempt to align their mental knowledge of gender with its external appearance. Some individuals undergo social transition, during which they may begin dressing, utilizing names and pronouns, and/or be socially acknowledged as another gender. Others endure physical transitions in which medical procedures transform their bodies.
