The company's roots go back to 1888, and it has been a part of the Bitburger brewing group since 1976. Gerolsteiner Brunnen operates in over 35 countries worldwide, making it one of the largest exporters of mineral water in Germany.

History[edit | edit source]

Gerolsteiner Brunnen was founded in 1888 by mine owner Wilhelm Castendyck in Gerolstein. The company initially sold soda water, but soon expanded its product range to include naturally carbonated mineral water. In 1895, the company was awarded a gold medal at the Brunswick State Trade Exhibition for the quality of its products.

Products[edit | edit source]

Gerolsteiner Brunnen offers a variety of mineral water products, including still water, sparkling water, and flavored water. The company's flagship product is Gerolsteiner Sprudel, a naturally carbonated mineral water that is known for its high mineral content. Other popular products include Gerolsteiner Medium, a lightly carbonated water, and Gerolsteiner Stille Quelle, a still water.

Mineral Content[edit | edit source]

The mineral water from Gerolsteiner Brunnen is known for its high mineral content, particularly calcium, magnesium, and bicarbonate. The water is sourced from the depths of the Volcanic Eifel, a region known for its volcanic activity, which contributes to the high mineral content of the water.

Environmental Commitment[edit | edit source]

Gerolsteiner Brunnen is committed to sustainability and environmental protection. The company has implemented a number of measures to reduce its environmental impact, including the use of recyclable packaging and the promotion of sustainable water management practices.
