- Giles County is a county located in the U.S. state of Virginia. As of the 2010 census, the population was 17,286. Its county seat is Pearisburg. Giles County is included in the Blacksburg-Christiansburg, VA Metropolitan Statistical Area.

- Giles County is the westernmost county in the Commonwealth of Virginia. It covers 360 square miles of land and 2 square miles of water. The county is bordered by West Virginia to the west and the New River to the north and east.

- Giles County was established in 1806 from parts of Montgomery, Monroe, and Wythe counties. It was named after William Branch Giles, a U.S. Senator from Virginia who sponsored the legislation to create the new county.
