Gregory R. Wiseman

Gregory R. Wiseman is an American astronaut and naval aviator. He was selected by NASA in June 2009. Wiseman is known for his work on the International Space Station (ISS) and his contributions to various space missions.

Early Life and Education[edit | edit source]

Gregory R. Wiseman was born in Baltimore, Maryland. He attended Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science. He later earned a Master of Science degree in Systems Engineering from Johns Hopkins University.

Career[edit | edit source]

Wiseman began his career as a naval aviator, serving in various roles in the United States Navy. He was selected for astronaut training by NASA in 2009.

NASA Career[edit | edit source]

As an astronaut, Wiseman has been involved in several missions to the ISS. He served as a flight engineer for Expedition 40 and Expedition 41, during which he conducted two spacewalks.

Personal Life[edit | edit source]

Wiseman is married and has two children. He enjoys running, swimming, and spending time with his family.
