Groupe Holder is a French multinational company that specializes in the bakery and confectionery industry. The company was founded in 1962 by Francis Holder and is currently headquartered in Lille, France. Groupe Holder operates through two main subsidiaries: Paul and Ladurée, which are renowned for their bread and macarons respectively.

Groupe Holder was established in 1962 by Francis Holder. The company started as a small bakery in Lille, which later expanded into a network of bakeries across France. In 1993, Groupe Holder acquired Ladurée, a luxury bakery and sweets maker house established in Paris in 1862.

Paul[edit | edit source]

Paul is a French chain of bakery/café restaurants established in 1889 in the city of Croix, in Northern France, by Charlemagne Mayot. It specializes in serving French products including breads, crêpes, sandwiches, macarons, soups, cakes, pastries, coffee, wine, and beer.

Ladurée[edit | edit source]

Ladurée is a French luxury bakery and sweets maker house created in 1862. It is one of the world's best-known premier sellers of the double-decker macaron, fifteen thousand of which are sold every day. They are still one of the best known makers of macarons in the world.

Operations[edit | edit source]

Groupe Holder operates in more than 45 countries worldwide. The company has over 900 Paul bakeries and 60 Ladurée stores. Groupe Holder employs more than 14,000 people globally.
