Guinness Storehouse
Guinness Storehouse is a major tourist attraction located at St. James's Gate Brewery in Dublin, Ireland. It is dedicated to the history and making of the world-famous Guinness beer, which has been brewed at this site since 1759. The Storehouse covers seven floors surrounding a glass atrium shaped in the form of a pint of Guinness.
History[edit | edit source]
The building, originally constructed in 1902, was used as a fermentation plant for the brewery until it was closed in 1988. It was then transformed into the Guinness Storehouse, opening its doors to the public in 2000. The conversion was part of a larger effort to rejuvenate the St. James's Gate area and to celebrate the rich heritage of Guinness.
