Guiyang (Chinese: 贵阳; pinyin: Guìyáng ) is the capital of Guizhou province in Southwest China. It is a prefecture-level city located on the eastern side of the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau, and it serves as the political, economic, cultural, and transportation center of Guizhou.

Guiyang has a rich history that dates back to the Ming dynasty, when it was established as a military outpost.
