H.E.A.R. (Hearing Education and Awareness for Rockers) is a non-profit organization dedicated to the prevention of hearing loss, particularly among musicians and music enthusiasts. Founded in 1988, H.E.A.R. aims to raise awareness about the risks of hearing damage due to exposure to loud music and to promote hearing conservation practices.

H.E.A.R. was founded by Kathy Peck, a former bass player for the band The Contractions, and Dr. Flash Gordon, an audiologist. The organization was established in response to the growing concern about hearing loss among musicians and concert-goers. Kathy Peck herself experienced hearing loss and tinnitus after years of performing, which motivated her to co-found H.E.A.R.
