Haia Lifschitz

Haia Lifșiț (also known as Chaya Lifshitz) was a notable figure in the Jewish resistance during World War II. She was born in Lithuania and became an active member of the Jewish community and the Zionist movement.

Haia Lifșiț was born in Kaunas, Lithuania. From a young age, she was involved in the Zionist movement, which aimed to establish a Jewish homeland in Palestine. She was also a member of the Hashomer Hatzair, a socialist-Zionist youth movement.

During World War II, Haia Lifșiț played a significant role in the Jewish resistance against the Nazi occupation. She was involved in various underground activities, including the organization of ghetto uprisings and the smuggling of weapons and supplies to resistance fighters. Her efforts were crucial in the survival and morale of many Jewish partisans.
