Halo Top Creamery was founded by Justin Woolverton, a former lawyer who was looking for a healthier alternative to traditional ice cream. Woolverton started making ice cream in his own kitchen and, after teaming up with his business partner Doug Bouton, launched Halo Top Creamery in 2011.

Halo Top Creamery offers a variety of ice cream flavors, including vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, and mint chip. The company also offers dairy-free and vegan options. Each pint of Halo Top ice cream contains between 280 and 360 calories, significantly less than traditional ice cream brands.
