Hans
Hans is a given name in many Germanic-speaking countries. In German, Danish, Dutch, Faroese, Norwegian, Icelandic and Swedish, originally it is short for Johannes (John), but is also recognized in Sweden, Denmark and Norway as a name in its own right for official purposes.

The name Hans was originally a short form of Johannes (John), and was often used in the Germanic portions of the Holy Roman Empire. Variants of the name include Hannes, Han, Hanz, Hanns, and others. In the Nordic countries, Hans is pronounced with a short 'a' sound, similar to the English word 'ant'.
