Harding County is a county located in the U.S. state of New Mexico. As of the 2010 census, the population was 695, making it the least populous county in New Mexico. Its county seat is Mosquero. The county was created in 1921 from parts of Union and Mora counties and named for then U.S. President Warren G. Harding. Most of the county's area is ranchland.
