Harmon County is a county located in the southwestern corner of the U.S. state of Oklahoma. As of the 2010 census, the population was 2,922, making it the second-least populous county in Oklahoma, ahead of only Cimarron County. Its county seat is Hollis.
Geography[edit | edit source]
Harmon County is bordered by Beckham County to the north, Greer County to the northeast, Jackson County to the southeast, Hardeman County, Texas to the south, and Childress County, Texas to the west. The county has a total area of 539 square miles, of which 538 square miles is land and 1.0 square mile is water.
Demographics[edit | edit source]
As of the 2010 United States Census, there were 2,922 people, 1,300 households, and 835 families residing in the county. The population density was 5.4 people per square mile. The racial makeup of the county was 81.3% White, 8.8% Black or African American, 1.2% Native American, 0.2% Asian, 6.7% from other races, and 1.8% from two or more races. 14.3% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race.

Harmon Memorial Hospital[edit | edit source]
Harmon Memorial Hospital is a 25-bed critical access hospital that provides a variety of services to the residents of Harmon County and surrounding areas. The hospital offers emergency care, inpatient and outpatient services, surgical services, and diagnostic imaging. The hospital also operates a rural health clinic and provides home health services.
The hospital is accredited by the Oklahoma State Department of Health and is a member of the Oklahoma Hospital Association. It is also recognized by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).
