Harrods is a luxury department store located on Brompton Road in Knightsbridge, London. The store occupies a 5-acre site and has over one million square feet of selling space in over 330 departments, making it the largest department store in Europe. Harrods is known for its wide range of products and services, including clothing, jewelry, electronics, and food.

Harrods was founded in 1824 by Charles Henry Harrod, who initially established a grocery store in Stepney, East London. In 1849, Harrod moved the business to the current site in Knightsbridge. The store expanded rapidly, and by 1880, it had grown to include a pharmacy, butcher, and perfumery. In 1898, Harrods installed the world's first escalator.
