Hiroyuki Sakai

Hiroyuki Sakai (坂井 宏行, Sakai Hiroyuki) is a renowned Japanese chef best known for his role as the French cuisine Iron Chef on the popular Japanese television show Iron Chef. He was born on April 2, 1942, in Kagoshima, Japan.

Hiroyuki Sakai began his culinary career at a young age. He moved to Osaka to train in French cuisine, which was relatively rare in Japan at the time. Sakai's dedication and skill quickly earned him a reputation as a talented chef.
