Central Military Hospital is a third level medical institution in Mexico. It is highly specialized and provides services to military personnel, rights holders, and the general public. The hospital is under the direct control of the Secretariat of National Defense (SEDENA) through the Directorate General of Health. It offers a wide range of medical specialties and is considered one of the top healthcare facilities in the country.

History[edit | edit source]

The Central Military Hospital has its roots in the early 20th century when the land belonging to the Hacienda San Juan De Dios was purchased. The land was later sold and became part of the Anzures colony in Mexico City. In the 1930s, the Mexican government decided to strengthen military structures, including healthcare for the armed forces. As a result, the land became the property of the Ministry of Defense, and the Central Military Hospital was built on the southern boundary of the land. The hospital has since grown and expanded to become a leading medical institution in Mexico.
