Hospital Max Peralta is a general hospital located in Barrio Asís, Cartago Province, Costa Rica. It is named after Dr. Maximiliano Peralta Jimenez, a graduate of Jefferson Medical College (now Sidney Kimmel Medical College, Thomas Jefferson University) in Philadelphia in 1894. Despite having 633 beds, the hospital often faces equipment shortages.[1][2]
