The Hospital and Rehabilitation Centre for Disabled Children (HRDC) is a hospital located in Banepa, Nepal. It was established in 1985 with the support of Terre des Hommes (TdH) of Switzerland and later transferred to the ownership of the Friends of the Disabled (FOD), a Nepalese non-governmental organization, in 1992.

Awards and recognition[edit | edit source]

The HRDC and its founder, Prof. (Dr.) Ashok Kumar Banskota, have received several awards and recognition for their contributions in the field of child healthcare. In 2011, Prof. Banskota was honored with the World's Top Child Health Award by World of Children. He also received the Stars Impact Award in 2014 for health in the Asia Pacific region. In 2016, he was awarded the World of Children Alumni Award.
