Hubscher's maneuver

Hubscher's maneuver is a medical procedure used in the diagnosis of pelvic organ prolapse. It is named after the German gynecologist Gustav Hubscher, who first described the maneuver in 1953.

Procedure

The Hubscher's maneuver is performed during a pelvic examination. The patient is asked to strain or cough while the examiner observes for any descent of the cervix or vaginal vault.
