Hypagyrtis is a genus of moths belonging to the family Geometridae, commonly known as the geometer moths. This genus is characterized by its diverse species that exhibit a wide range of colors and patterns on their wings, making them a subject of interest in the study of Lepidoptera. The name Hypagyrtis is derived from Greek, meaning "under-exalted," possibly referring to the understated beauty of these moths compared to more brightly colored species.
