ITG Brands was formed following Imperial Brands' acquisition of several assets from Reynolds American and Lorillard Tobacco Company. This acquisition was part of a larger deal in which Reynolds American acquired Lorillard. To comply with antitrust regulations, certain brands and facilities were divested to Imperial Brands, leading to the creation of ITG Brands.

ITG Brands manufactures and markets a variety of tobacco products, including well-known cigarette brands such as Winston, Kool, and Salem. The company also produces and sells cigars under brands like Dutch Masters.
