Ignacio Barraquer

Ignacio Barraquer was born in Barcelona, Spain, into a family with a strong medical background. His father, José Antonio Barraquer Roviralta, was a prominent physician who influenced Ignacio's interest in medicine. Ignacio pursued his medical studies at the University of Barcelona, where he graduated with a degree in medicine and surgery.

After completing his education, Barraquer began his career in ophthalmology, focusing on the treatment of cataracts.
