International Bartenders Association
International Bartenders Association (IBA) is a global organization that was established on 24th February 1951. The association is renowned for its role in promoting the bartending profession, setting global standards for cocktail making, and organizing international bartending competitions.

The International Bartenders Association was founded in the United Kingdom by a group of bartenders who were passionate about their profession. The association was initially formed to create a platform for bartenders to share their knowledge and skills. Over the years, the IBA has grown to become a global organization with members from all over the world.
Objectives[edit | edit source]
The main objectives of the IBA are to promote the image and status of bartenders worldwide, to establish international standards in cocktail making, and to organize international bartending competitions. The association also aims to encourage cooperation among its members and to provide a platform for the exchange of ideas and experiences.
Membership[edit | edit source]
Membership in the IBA is open to national bartender associations from all over the world. Each member association is represented in the IBA by two delegates. The IBA currently has member associations from more than 60 countries.

The IBA organizes the annual World Cocktail Championships (WCC), which is one of the most prestigious bartending competitions in the world. The WCC is a platform for bartenders to showcase their skills and creativity in cocktail making. The competition is divided into several categories, including classic mixing, flair bartending, and cocktail presentation.
In addition to the WCC, the IBA also organizes other events and activities, such as seminars, workshops, and training programs, to promote the bartending profession and to enhance the skills of its members.
