Ionatana Ionatana
Ionatana Ionatana (1938 – 8 December 2000) was a Tuvaluan politician who served as the Prime Minister of Tuvalu from 27 April 1999 until his death on 8 December 2000. He was a member of the Parliament of Tuvalu and held various governmental positions throughout his career.

Ionatana Ionatana was born in 1938 in Funafuti, the capital of Tuvalu. He received his early education in Tuvalu before pursuing further studies abroad. His educational background laid the foundation for his future political career.

Ionatana Ionatana began his political career as a member of the Parliament of Tuvalu. He was known for his dedication to the development and welfare of Tuvalu. Throughout his career, he held several key positions in the government, including Minister of Finance and Minister of Natural Resources.
