The story follows the character Plutonian, once the world's greatest superhero, who becomes its greatest supervillain. The narrative delves into his descent into madness and the impact of his actions on the world and his former allies, the Paradigm.

- Plutonian: The protagonist-turned-antagonist of the series. Once a beloved superhero, he becomes a tyrant after experiencing a mental breakdown.
- Qubit: A member of the Paradigm, known for his intelligence and technological prowess. He plays a crucial role in opposing the Plutonian.
- Bette Noir: Another member of the Paradigm, skilled in combat and strategy. She has a complicated relationship with the Plutonian.
- Modeus: The Plutonian's arch-nemesis, who becomes an unlikely ally to the Paradigm in their fight against the Plutonian.
