Isabel Barrows
American ophthalmologist and medical educator
Isabel Chapin Barrows (April 17, 1845 – October 24, 1913) was a pioneering American ophthalmologist, medical educator, and the first woman to work as a stenographer for the United States Congress. She was a trailblazer in the field of medicine and an advocate for women's rights.
