J. B. Pritzker
J. B. Pritzker (born January 19, 1965) is an American businessman, philanthropist, and politician who has served as the 43rd Governor of Illinois since January 14, 2019. A member of the Democratic Party, Pritzker was elected governor in the 2018 election, defeating the incumbent Republican Bruce Rauner. He was re-elected in 2022. Pritzker is a member of the Pritzker family, a prominent American family known for owning the Hyatt hotel chain and for their philanthropic efforts.
