J. P. R. Williams
John Peter Rhys Williams (born 2 March 1949), commonly known as J.P.R. Williams, is a former rugby union player who represented Wales and the British and Irish Lions. He was known for his distinctive headband and his aggressive style of play. Williams was primarily a fullback, a position in which he excelled due to his robust defense, strong running, and exceptional kicking abilities.

J.P.R. Williams was born in Bridgend, Wales. He showed an early talent for sports, excelling in both rugby and tennis at a young age. Williams chose to pursue a career in rugby union, a decision that would see him become one of the sport's most iconic figures.
