- Jefferson is a village located in the Ashtabula County, Ohio, United States. It is the county seat of Ashtabula County and is known for its rich history and small-town charm. The village is named after Thomas Jefferson, the third President of the United States.

- Jefferson was laid out in 1803 by Gideon Granger, who later served as Postmaster General under President Thomas Jefferson. The village was incorporated in 1836.

- Jefferson is located at the intersection of U.S. Route 6 and State Route 46. The village is approximately 10 miles south of Lake Erie and 60 miles east of Cleveland.
