Jennie Livingston
Jennie Livingston is an American director, producer, and writer best known for her work on the documentary film Paris Is Burning. Born on February 24, 1962, in Dallas, Texas, Livingston has made significant contributions to the fields of documentary film and LGBTQ+ cinema.

Livingston was raised in a Jewish family in Los Angeles, California. She attended Yale University, where she studied photography, drawing, and painting. It was during her time at Yale that she developed an interest in filmmaking.
