Jennifer Brea was born in the United States. She pursued her undergraduate studies at Harvard University, where she graduated with a degree in politics. Her academic journey continued as she enrolled in a Ph.D. program at Harvard University in political science.
Career[edit | edit source]
Jennifer Brea is a filmmaker and activist known for her work in raising awareness about myalgic encephalomyelitis (ME), also known as chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS). Her career took a significant turn when she became ill with ME/CFS, which led her to document her experiences and those of others with the condition.
Unrest[edit | edit source]
Brea is best known for her documentary film Unrest, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in 2017. The film provides a personal and intimate look at her life with ME/CFS and highlights the struggles faced by many individuals with the condition. Unrest received critical acclaim and was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature.
