Joe Yonan (born April 24, 1971) is an American journalist, author, and editor known for his work in the field of food writing. He is the Food and Dining Editor of The Washington Post, where he has been instrumental in shaping the newspaper's food coverage. Joe Yonan was born in San Antonio, Texas, and grew up in a family that valued food and cooking. He attended Boston University, where he earned a degree in journalism. His passion for food led him to further his education at the Cambridge School of Culinary Arts, where he honed his culinary skills.

Yonan began his journalism career at The Boston Globe, where he worked as a reporter and editor.
