Joseph Boyd Martin (born October 20, 1938) is a Canadian physician and neuroscientist renowned for his contributions to the field of neuroscience and his leadership in medical education. He is best known for his role as the Dean of the Harvard Medical School and his research on Huntington's disease.

Joseph B. Martin was born in Bassano, Alberta, Canada. He pursued his undergraduate studies at the University of Alberta, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree.
