Joseph Barss (ice hockey)
Joseph Barss (born January 4, 1998) is a Canadian professional ice hockey goaltender. He is currently playing for the Toronto Marlies in the American Hockey League (AHL). Barss is known for his agility, quick reflexes, and strong positional play.
Early Life[edit | edit source]
Joseph Barss was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. He began playing ice hockey at a young age and quickly developed a passion for the sport. Barss played minor hockey in the Nova Scotia Minor Hockey Association before moving on to higher levels of competition.
Junior Career[edit | edit source]
Barss played junior hockey in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) with the Halifax Mooseheads. During his time with the Mooseheads, he established himself as one of the top goaltenders in the league. His performance earned him several accolades, including being named to the QMJHL All-Star team.
Professional Career[edit | edit source]
After his successful junior career, Barss signed a contract with the Toronto Marlies of the AHL. He made his professional debut during the 2020-21 AHL season. Barss quickly adapted to the professional level, showcasing his skills and earning the starting goaltender position for the Marlies.
